Stress at work

Is stress at work a concern for you?

We are finding that more and more members are suffering from stress related to their job. The Health and Safety Executive have published statistics showing that stress is often related to workload, in particular tight deadlines, too much work or too much pressure or responsibility. Other factors identified included a lack of managerial support, organisational changes at work, violence and role uncertainty.

Our sister union UCU actively campaigns and carries out research on this problem. We would like to explore with our members how we can address this issue and have added an item to the agenda of our next branch meeting so that you can feed back your experiences of stress and how it impacts on you and your colleagues.

Please come and bring your friends, it’s in Physics B5 at 12.15pm on Wednesday  30th  November 2016
